Our Career Change Dogs are ages eight weeks to two years old. They may be different breeds, sizes, hair coats, temperaments, energy levels and personalities but they have one thing in common. They were lacking something needed to be successful in our program. It's part of our tough evaluation process to ensure we're only putting the best service dogs and facility therapy dogs out there. These dogs may be unsuitable for service work but could be perfect for something else, including becoming a beloved family pet.

Some of our dogs have an issue that makes them not be good in public settings doing service or therapy work, but in a home they become comfortable enough with their family that they do just fine. Take Dash…a springer spaniel that was timid around children but once he settled into his new home and got to know her niece and nephew he grew to love them.

“He is doing extremely great! He LOVES my niece and nephew. Loves to go riding on the trails with me. And is just fantastic.”

Depending on their age and time with us they may have everything from little to no training (puppies) to fully off leash reliable, crate trained, adult dogs. They will range in price from $1,500 to $4,500 depending on many factors. Don’t get caught up on the breed or color of the dog. Finding the right dog is more about matching lifestyle and personality to the family than anything.

When you have a dog that is all you ever wanted you will love them no matter what they look like.

We are in business to have happy clients, and that includes the people purchasing dogs from our Career Change Dogs program. Because we want our dogs to live happily ever after with their families we are going to ask you a lot of questions. It's not personal, we promise! It's about finding out which dog would be best suited for your home.

Sunny is a purebred golden retriever that washed from our service dog program and lives happily with her new family. She is in training to do AKC obedience competition.
